Gives an almost claustrophobic and terrifying scene that probably characterised the end of our unhappy Queen. I think that Marie Antoinette (and her husband) in popular culture is--even if I, like you, am not always a big fan of how they are used ore represented--interesting and even important. It's possible to trace Marie Antoinette's "reputation" through them, in some ways, and we can even see how the histiography of the queen has changed just through how she has been used in pop culture. I hope you enjoy the new posts! And thanks again. :)Anna Gibsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16294617189991777940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655932075959811304.post-8810182876429662102013-07-06T14:10:23.388-04:002013-07-06T14:10:23.388-04:00Thank you Heloise!Thank you Heloise!Anna Gibsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16294617189991777940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655932075959811304.post-49402267432127121072013-07-06T14:10:16.224-04:002013-07-06T14:10:16.224-04:00Hello!

The Coke ad is certainly lovely--I'm amazed at the amount of detail went into the costume and background for a simple advertisement. I admire Marie-Antoinette's and Louis XVI's whole story and era, but I've never been a big fan of their pop culture representations. After findig your tumblr and blog via Tea at Trianon, I realized that this is an important topic, too, and it has its own little "treasures" to be collected and analyzed. I will visit you regularly and I'm very curious about your new posts :)Zsófiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08703741447723209977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1655932075959811304.post-23028559065913808362013-06-24T02:49:19.081-04:002013-06-24T02:49:19.081-04:00Love your blog!!!
